From StrapCouture.com
I've never been big on letting your bra strap show. I always thought it looked sloppy and unattractive. And anyway, there's a reason why they're called undergarments. One of my pet peeves is those apparently transparent plastic straps. They've never looked strong enough to hold up a bra, and aren't even aesthetically pleasing, so what purpose do they serve? Another fad I could never understand was wearing a normal bra with a racerback tee. Eew.
But I think I can make an exception with these blinged out bra straps. StrapCouture has a range of pretty straps to attach to your strapless bra, from snazzy metallic chains, to pretty lace straps and straps with precious stones like jade and quartz. They don't come cheap though, the most expensive is US$150, a price which I cannot justify for what is essentially a bra strap. Now I'm wondering if I can just DIY them myself. :)

I'm sure can DIY wah! I think even I could.. heh...
but my question is: wont it bite into the flesh, esp. for big-chested chicks or if it's not adjusted properly?
Hi Jellygirl. I'll soon be in Singapore for the Great Singapore sale. I read in your blog about the store, Blackjack. can you recommend other stores in Singapore that also sell nice jeans?
Hi geena, here you go:
Isetan: has a section where they sell jeans by Citizens of Humanity, Paper, Denim & Cloth and a couple other labels.
Inhabit, basement of Palai Renaissance: If you are willing to splurge, there's Tsubi, Blue Cult and Earl.
Skin, 2nd level, Marina Square: If you want something more flashy, Rock & Republic jeans and others.
Hope you find lots of great buys at the Great S'pore Sale!
Oh, and I also forgot to mention the Miss Sixty boutique at Paragon.
ya i agree with woof. though nice, it would be kinda ouchy with those blings. But..i still like it. :> Better than the plastic straps la! yuck..
Well, since it was mentioned the blings are attached to strapless bras, I assume that they are not meant to take any weight.
An interesting concept though.
And can even be done cheaper by people who already know how to make custom jewelry.
Fashionasia: You know, I never thought about how comfortable it would be to wear bling, but now that you mention it, it might feel quite strange.
Ole' Wolvie: Interestingly enough, the website claims that the straps actually do provide support.
Thanks for your tips! Rock and Republic is my favorite. Can't get enough of RR. Thanks again, Jellygirl! I love reading your blog.
hehehe...i can make for u lah. i have the tools....i only lack the hooks at the end, unless their hooks are the norm type...
$150 my goodness....
Forgive me for getting all Rachel Zoe and telling the world I hate wearing bras, but I do.
But this makes me reconsider rocking the underwear.
So I blogged about you, www.thisnext.com/blog/
StrappyArt (under $10 for the enamel colors and under $25 for sterling silver or gold filled) is a nice option, too. Wear any top with any bra and add a beautiful accessory to keep the straps tidy. http://www.strappyart.com
It's funny because these straps actually look uncomfortable but I got some at this place online called Gibsi Girl www.gibsigirl.com and they are very comfortable and inexpensive. I could never see spending 125 but a lower cost one yeah! One this I noticed is that they actually stay up better and don't slip off like your average strap. Yo ushould try them!
Attaching different coloured straps to a convertible bra is a fantastic and cheap alternative buying lots of bras to match everyting you own.
There's a huge colour range on www.strapmeup.com.au. They've even got wide straps that my friend bought as she's an E cup and needed more support.
Have a look!
Hip hop today is an incredible force upon American youth and even
beyond on a global level. Hip hop and rap have created entirely new industries
such as the hip hop jewelry genre,
upgraded the look of the common drinking cup to the majestic looking
pimp cups, have virtually
created a new and expanding language, and have even affected the
automotive industry with such bold customizations as large spinning bling bling wheels,
transformed fashion and clothing in an unprecedented way, and yes, have even introduced us to bling bras and so much more. Hip hop is no doubt way more influential and powerful than rock and roll.
