Yellow, yellow not a dirty fellow

Blame it on the sunshine, but the colour yellow has been growing on me lately. I suppose being Chinese, I was taught from young that this colour could never look good on me, so I avoided it for the most part. Now that I'm older and wiser, I've since learnt that it all depends on the shade. Here are some yellow things I'd love to have:

A Friday half-day is already really good, but when you throw in a free cupcake from Sugar Rock Bakery while at work, it's an absolute winner.

I mentioned a while back about doing something to the white walls in my room. This picture illustrates pretty much exactly what I'd like to have. Incidentally, what is it with me taking design inspiration from children's rooms? Should I be worried?

Having a slight case of the Mondays, so I looked for pretty things to add to the wishlist.




If I could dress like the entire J Crew catalogue, I'd be a very happy bunny. So many beautiful jewel tones and gorgeous jewellery.


I made the mistake of ambling into Daunt Books yesterday afternoon, and flipped through Sophie Dahl's cookbook. It's chock full of beautiful photos, personal stories and homey recipes that don't look hard to do.

A long Saturday

Yesterday was a long day, but in a good way.

Lunch at Atari-ya

Lunch for one: Spicy tuna roll and a salmon & avocado roll


Everything I need for the day - a change of clothes for partying later, pair of killer shoes and make-up.

Dinner at Las Iguanas. We're hungry! Sangria isn't enough to keep us happy.
